GraphQL is labeled as the most innovative technology for fetching data since Ajax. It represents a clear alternative to REST and plays perfectly well with the idea of designing resilient and reactive frontend activations. Both, reactive patterns and GraphQL are must-haves in a modern frontend-engineers toolchain, and this training will allow you to master them with ease.
Who is it for?
The focus on the class is on applying reactive concepts and GraphQL as a communication protocol. This means that while the concepts will be explained, David Leitner will make sure you focus on creating working code. The course will be agnostic in a way that it does not matter if you use React, Angular, VueJS or any other frontend framework - the contents are applicable framework-agnostic. Thus, please bring your laptop to develop with your favorite frontend-framework and IDE.
What will participants learn?
- Explore graph theory and review popular graph examples in use today.
- Understand reactive programming concepts in the frontend and apply them with RxJS.
- Learn how GraphQL applies database querying methods to the internet.
- Create a schema that serves as a roadmap and a contract between the frontend and backend teams.
